Don’t Cry Because It’s Over…

Marsha Moment Message: As I reflected on the transition home of Prince yesterday, watching news story, after new story, after news story – My Heart Wept for this Amazingly Talented Artist. Then I went into the Prince Music Zone and played one Prince song after another. And, then I CRIED!! Well, through my tears, I remembered that Nightline was going to do a Special Report on PRINCE – so, I watched the show and it was a good one, but it was at the end of the program, when the Host quoted Dr. Seuss and said: “DON’T CRY BECAUSE IT’S OVER – SMILE BECAUSE IT HAPPENED.” That Phrase STRUCK ME HARD and in that moment, My Heart felt just a lighter. YES, I will Miss PRINCE and his Electrifying Music, as I Miss – Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, David Bowie, Luther Vandross, Natalie Cole and so many others who GRACED Our WORLD with their UNIQUE AND REMARKABLE MUSICAL ABILITIES. YES, some will say – they just sang songs; but I say, “the LEGACY of these ICONIC ARTISTS is that they RAISED OUR SPIRITS. So, I ENCOURAGE You to “LET’S SMILE BECAUSE THEY HAPPENED” and made our WORLD A LITTLE BETTER by doing what they LOVED to do – BRING JOY INTO OUR LIVES.
